Aerial Tramway The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway constructed in majestic Chino Canyon on the north edge of Palm Springs. Palm Springs Air Museum The Palm Springs Air Museum houses one of the nation’s largest collections of World War II flying aircraft. These planes are displayed in modern, well lighted, air-conditioned and clean hangars. The museum sponsors Saturday commemorative educational programs for visitors often including demonstration flights of the aircraft. The Living Desert This 1,200-acre interpretive center called the Living Desert showcases exotic animals in a natural setting nestled at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains in Palm Desert.
