Gabriel Franco - Owner

Gabe values the client relationship above all else and is praised by his clients for his integrity, competency & negotiation skills. He took a risk and after the market crash in ’08 quit his job to begin Royale Vacation Rentals. Today, RVR is one of the valley’s leading rental companies managing approx. 80 properties.   Last fall, Gabe launched Royale Real Estate making one comprehensive luxury real estate solution. Gabe believes that success is not just about profitable businesses, it includes thriving relationships, spiritual wholeness, mental clarity, physical wellness and emotional balance. Gabe achieves this by setting goals & giving back.


After struggling with infertility for nearly 4 years, Gabe and his wife went through Invitro Fertilization with one of the valley’s best specialists.  Nine months later, their first daughter, Miracle Joy was born.  Because of their fertility struggles, they adopted their second child, Selah Janae, from the Florida Department of Children and Families.  Their third daughter, Zyon Grace, was all a surprise and a welcomed blessing. Gabe, his wife of 16 years, Shawnine, and their beautiful three girls reside in La Quinta.  When not selling real estate, spending time with his family or giving back through his local church, Gabe enjoys golfing our beautiful valley courses and hiking our spectacular mountains – including completing the famous “Palms to Pines” hike.





Mariah Smith - Office Manager

Mariah joined the team soon after opening, before vacation rentals she worked primarily with teens at local shelters and schools. Mariah decided, as her daughter was getting older, to stay with the teens in a volunteer role, but to begin a career that would allow her to be home every night. That is when she joined the Royale Team. Mariah began as a secretary and moved through many different positions over the years, she currently manages the vacation side.


Mariah is known for her relational stance with clients and owners. She values each interaction and strives to create a positive experience for all involved. Mariah works diligently to create and maintain business protocols to keep Royale functioning at a high level. She is always looking for the next big thing that Royale can implement to produce a better experience for its clients.


Mariah is married to her childhood best friend, Geoff, and has an adult daughter, Makayla, and an infant daughter, Grace! When not working, she loves to attend different functions in our beautiful desert and enjoy the outdoors as well as have a family game night with her entire family and extended family.

Makayla Smith - Office Assistant

Makayla has helped at Royale since 2013, in 2017 she was hired part time to assist the office, both the vacation and real estate side. In 2019, she will come on full time as our front desk specialist. Makayla grew up in Royale Vacation Rentals assisting staff after school. She is very knowledgeable in all back-end office procedures and is learning the front office for her new position.


Makayla is known for her dedicated spirt and willingness to go the extra mile to get a project completed. She takes pride in a job well done and always strives to learn more and continue to grow to the next level.


Makayla loves to be outdoors and spending her time with family and friends. 

Katie Negrete - Client Specialist

Katie joined the team in 2017, she has worked in vacation rentals since 2012. Katie is known for her exceptional customer service, it has been said that you can hear her smiling through the phone. She has been very diligent to create a workspace that is both functional and forward moving. She takes pride in her work and it shows on all levels.


Katie is our client service specialist, you will have the chance to get to know her during the booking process and at the time of arrival. Katie always puts her best foot forward to create an amazing and memorable vacation experience for all our guests.


Katie has one son, Danny, he is a handsome, fun-loving boy that keeps Katie busy! When she is not working she loves to spend her time with Danny playing, swimming and attending many of the local children functions that our desert has to offer.

Jeremiah Barber - Field Agent

Jeremiah is our newest team member! He came on board in late 2018 as our field agent. Jeremiah has extensive background in handyman work and customer service. Jeremiah is known for being a team player and maintaining a positive attitude while getting the job done! He is always willing to figure out a way to complete any project.



Jeremiah married the love his life in 2016, Leslie, together they have a real life brady bunch family. Leslie brought 3 beautiful girls to the family, Vanessa, Daniella and Bella. Jeremiah brought 2 handsome boys, Kai and Owen. Together they had an adorable baby girl, Zoey. Much of their time is spent with their ever-growing family – they do make time for date night once a week and enjoy trying new restaurants in the desert. Jeremiah also enjoys giving back and volunteering in his local church.
